    I'm trying to convert asf to mpeg but keep getting an error and tmpge closes. Is there anything else that will do it also is there anything that will play the asf and allow me to fast forward etc as media player etc will not do that and just goes back to the beginning.

    ASFTools will convert to avi - TMPGEnc should take it from there.
