Nowdays many electronic devices can automatically use a power source ranging from the USA 110V/60Hz, to the rest-of-the-world 220V/50Hz.
I was wondering whether any Apex DVD players, especially the 1100W, can do this as an undocumented feature? Or is there perhaps a simple way of switching internally, e.g. by changing transformer taps?

Don't know about the 1100W, but the AD1700M definitely has this ability. See http://www.nerd-out.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=27 for more info.
