  1. ive got mpeg2's(480x480) that i really need to convert to avi or avi dv. i need quality here so file size isnt an issue. the original material is long gone so recapturing isnt an option. everything ive tried has resulted in pretty good quality but audio synch issues. i hope this can be done, i dont care if its freeware or pay, i need these mpeg2's converted. ill try anything. very desperate. please help me somebody. thanks in advance

Why the conversion? You can only lose quality in any conversion, never gain.

  3. i know ill lose some quality but premiere is giving me fits trying to edit these files. no matter what i try in the project or export settings in premiere i get a really bad export. any ideas? these are just short news clips so quality could be sacrificed a little for a better end result. im open to any suggestions????????????
