How do I capture with this thing? The only way I can keep it in sync is to use the Huffy codec and capture at 15 frames per sec.If I try any other codec or a different frame rate, It gets out of sync. I've tried Avi_io, but it crashes when I stop the frame and I either get a non-working file or a file with a wierd morph/acid trip. Even at times the huffy will get out of sync, but that is rare if I capture at 15fps.I did one capture with huffy and the result file had a static echo to it. I've tried every trick in the book.... A fan blowing on the usb unit,Demuxing the capture file and converting the audio to wav, then re-encoding,Different programs, nothing works. The only success I've ever had with it was one time I capture the movie " All the Pretty Horses" with ulead video studio 5.0 as an mpeg then reencode it. So If you own a Dazzle usb DVCII 80 and you capture with Virtualdub, please Respond PAHHHHLLLLEEEEASSSSSEEEE REspond!!!!!!!! Thanks

Well, I don't have a dazzle, but I am quite familiar with USB. It is possible that you are simply exceeding the maximum speed with which USB can transfer data.

USB has a maximum transfer rate of 12Mbits/s (1.5MBYTES/s) which means that with a lot of codecs, at 29.97 fps your data rate will simply exceed the speed at which your USB connetion can pump the data into your machine. Now, I don't know if this is what is happening or not, but that's something you need to investigate.

    Hope this helps!
