I'm using DVD2SVCD 1.1.0 build 1 for converting AVI's to SVCD. On Friday I did my first and successfull conversion from a DivX 5.0 AVI to SVCD using CCE 2.5 (not in safe mode - safe mode gives me the same results described below).

Yesterday I tried again with the second AVI-File but CCE crashed. Then I tried TMPGEnc and the resulting movie showed the following error message only:

AVISource couldn't locate a decompressor for fourcc divx
(F:\DVD2SVCD\AviSynth_Script_file.avs, line 2)

I have no idea why it did work last week. I can play all AVIs using MediaPlayer without any problems.

After some tests it looks like I can convert only AVIs which I can open in VirtualDub. I know VirtualDub can handle only VfW-Codecs, but does this apply to AviSynth, too?

My OS is Win2K/SP3. I haven't (un)installed any software except ffshow/ffvfw - but I think I did this after facing the above problems.

Any help is appreciated - thanx a lot.
