  1. I'm using DVDit PE and I'm getting this error: Each GOP header must be preceded by a sequence header. The MPEG2 I'm using was encoded by TMPG v12a using the DVD presets. Thanks very much!

The way I get around this is by using mpeg sequence maker. You can find it in the tools section. Demux your mpeg, load the video into sequence maker, then mux back the new video and your audio. DVDit should accept it fine, at least it does for me.

  3. Thanks for help. I tried that out, but for mpeg2 files it doesn't seem to generate a valid file. Are there any other programs that will add sequence headers? Thanks.

Ive seen this prob before..the answer was to re-encode it all !....Did you use LSX ligos plug in with flask....that gives you a choice of GOP before the file or before every header..
Interestly if you use BBmpeg to mux you get the exact opposite problem..!!

  5. If you want compatability - turn away from TMPGEnc and get CCE 2.25; if you want quality - turn away from Ligos and get CCE 2.25. Use TMPG only to multiplex mpeg streams or stuff like that, and Ligos ONLY to encode audio! Please, do not ask me for CCE 2.25 - I do not have installation files, try to search the web. And do not use 2.5 and 6 versions of CCE - they have tens of bugs and suck.
