On tmpeg I'm trying to encode a bunch of asf files.
I've tried batch process and doing one file at a time the problem is it's not making use of processor power on I'd say a quarter of the files I'm trying to convert.
All the asfs are about 20 mins. in length most of them will encode in about 25-30 mins, I look at the task manager while encoding any of these it shows cpu utilization at 100%, on the 25% I mentioned it will encode a frame about every 2-3 minutes and shows the estimated encode time at 120 hours, if I look at the task manager cpu is at 1%. any ideas? All these asfs play just fine in media player and it's always the same files that run real slow. hard drive has got plenty of room left and I have half a gig of ram. Any ideas?
