  1. I want to cut my created mpg in 2 parts.
    I use tmpgenc 2.58,
    I go to MPEGTOOLS -> MERGE&CUT
    I create 2 mpgs
    00:00:00 start and 00:48:00 end MPG nr1
    00:48::0 start and 01:36:00 end MPG nr2

    I play the 1st mpg but at the end the sound stops while the movie continues. (Tried it several times)

    Then i try to cut the part where there is no sound but to no avail.
    It just wont cut the end off.

    Is there another tool that can cut mpgs without the crap tmpgenc is giving me ?

    Let me guess these are mpeg2's that are 23.97 fps w/ 3:2 pulldown.

    Am i right?

    this happened to me to when i tried to cut mpeg2's.
    Its much easier to use the source range under advanced tab.
    set up tmpgenc to convert cd1 then save project. then set up tmpgenc to do cd2 (remember to rename output file to cd2) then save that as project2

    click file --> batch encode. add both projects cd1 & cd2. this will give you both files with out having to cut

  3. I converted Changing lanes 23.976 divx to mpeg.
    I used Tmpgenc to create an svcd ntsc(film) 23.976.

    yep thats the prob. tmpgenc does not cut svcd(ntscfilm) good. some sort of bug.

    2 choices

    re-encode with the above suggestion
    or leave it like it is and use the above suggestion for your next ntscfilm

    this guide will show you how to create projects and batch encode.
    scroll down about 3/4 of the page and start in the TMPGenc section on the source range stuff.
