Hi group,
I have a Compaq Presario 1500T notebook computer with WIndows XP Pro and i need an external USB video capture card. I have called Compaq but was told to call local sales person. Local sales person says to call Compaq. Can anyone suggest an external video capture card? I thought about a Dazzel DIGITAL VIDEO CREATOR 100, but I have been reading that it is not good. Help![]()

I have never came across anything USB that was worth mentionning, if it does even exist... Good luck!

Low USB bandwidth gives no much options. You have to stick with HW MPEG encoders to get acceptable results. One I know, is Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB. It has issues and is worse than newer PCI cards, but seems to work for most.

I noticed that my notebook has a 1394 firewire port, but my Sony camcorder does not. Does anyone know if there is an external adapter that would take the RCA composite cables from my camcorder in and then have a firewire cable that would connect to my computer?
