tmpge joining question

i have 2 svcd files that are about 800 MB each that i want to join.the joining process goes through properly to the end but when i play the file half way through where i joined them the sync goes way out for some reason. can any 1 tell me what i'm doing wrong please

Have you tried to merge the video file, merge the audio from the files, then multiplex the two together?

basically i opened both files i wanted to join in the merge/cut tab then clicked the RUN button! simple as that! once completed i played the file and the sync went out half way through the movie where they join. please help.
