  1. Doing SVCD, VBR encode of a "film" file that was ripped with smartripper and served with dv2avi (forcefilm).

    Half way through the encode it stops and posts a read error in tmpengc @ some address: offset so the encode fails.

    This has happened two times now - after the first crash i re-installed tmpgenc over itself, incase a file was corrupt.. no such luck.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    btw, it's the latest tmpgenc 2.58x

  2. I ran another test -- same error (only occurs on VBR encodes, not CB).

    Read Error occured at address 00481af1 of module "tmpgenc.exe with 00000000

    It might help to know what version of TMPGEnc you're using. Also are you using the plus version or the free version?

    I'm using the latest 2.58xx off their site. It's the Plus version.

    O/S XP Pro - service pack 1, machine is an xp1700, 768MB PC133, 320 gig drive.
