  1. I am very frustrated when I wanted to make VCD from the avi file imported from my PVDV- Mini DV-panasonic camcorder. I want to send the video of my daugter back to my parents. I wish someone can help me out.

Actually I have tried different softwares. First, I tried the Soinc-MyDVD 3.0. I made a VCD, but the VCD cannot be played on my DVD player( APex 1600). Then I tried some other softwares such as nero 5.0 (It worked in my friends' computer) and a freeware VCDeasy1.2 (no cdrDao). Both were not working. Actually when I tried these, it go through the burning process, but the My CDRW just didnot respond. My CDRW is MAX-CDRW.
So I wonder if my CDRW supports the softwares.

Thanks for any information for me.

How did you format the file before burning it to a VCD/DVD? I do know Nero has a tough encoding on the fly before burning. I suggest you encode it and then burn it.
    Hello.

  3. Thnx. I made it worked finally. I used the Recordnow 4.5 software , and the VCD can readily be played on my DVD player. Actually the VCD made by SonicmyDVD can be played, but I have to set PBC off on my DVD player(It's automatically on after I put the VCD in.) I am happy now.
Thnx. I think the reason is Recordnow can support my CD writer.
