Can anyone recommend some software for editing videos?
Im looking for program[s] that can crop a movie, mabey change the audio output, possibly output some effects.
Nothing to fansy, i just need to fix up a few movies before i can burn them.

adobe premiere is the standard for video editing. thats one i know

there are others but i havent tried them out yet.

The best and I have tired them all, is Ulead Media Pro 6.0 with the hollywoodFX Silver plugin for Professional scene transition effects.
Demos are out there also.
I use a PCI PVR card, imput my scenes onto uncompressed AVI, use ulead to edit my family video's add Music, use TMPGE to encode over to XVCD, Burn it onto a CD-R using NERO 5.5, I then have a 4min. Music video in XVCD format that plays perfect on any DVD player that excepts VCD's. I can whip out these in about an hour from start to finish.
