I have read on this site and others that most DVD'S are obviously Encoded with a 32 bit algorithm, etc. However, I did read that some DVD's may not be encoded for one reason or another, like if a movie was a flop or certain cartoon DVd's, etc. Is there a way of telling whether or not a DVD is definitely encoded? Because if it isn't, I could probably just convert the files to a smaller format such as MPEG-2 and burn them without all of the other steps, right? If anyone knows, please let me know. Thanks

Well, just don't worry about CSS, since DVD Rippers take care of it for you... MPEG2 isn't a "smaller format", for DVD are MPEG2. I guess you have to start reading some newbie guides there...
