Can someone pleeeeeaaaase tell me exactly which codecs I need for converting avi2svcd and which codecs I need 4 watching mpeg2 and avi(xvid) cause I install divx 3.11 n 4. Nimo codec pack 8 causes win2k crashs n pack 7 cant open half of the files during the installation. Now I cant even play wav files : Nullsoft decoder error!!!! WTF!!!!

Wow, that's quite the screw up. For converting avi2svcd, you'll need whatever codecs were used to encode the avi (run GSpot 2 on it to find out-- http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ ). You'll also need an MPEG encoder (like TMPGEnc). For watching mpeg2 and xvid, you'll need and mpeg2 codec (check the Tools section on the menu to left, near the bottom) and a copy of xvid. You could get it from http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml Those codec packs can be more trouble than they're worth (for some atleast). I've always found it better to go get the codecs I need when I need them.

As for your problem with the wav files... perhaps it's time to uninstall and/or reinstall some things. Especially those made by Nullsoft perhaps? (I'm thinking winamp). I don't know for sure though.
