  1. Through trial and error I have successfully converted 200+ movies but am having a problem with the xvid. Every movie I have tried to convert through tmpgenc freezes half way through the conversion. The video freezes but the audio keeps playing. I have followed the guides and read through the posts and downloaded the lastest nimo pack. I can't even get virtual dub to extract the audio. I am not sure if it is a codec problem or a converting problem. Any ideas??

Load the XviD into Graphedit, tell me what boxes come up, and I'll tell you how to proceed. 8)

  3. I tried 'The New Guy' again earlier today after two previous failures and this time it worked. I didn't do anything different but now conversions that used to take an hour are now taking 4-5 hours to complete so I am thinking it's a computer problem. I have a couple more I am ready to convert so I will see how it goes.

In which case I would still recommend loading into Graphedit. Extracting the components may speed up your conversion.
