  1. I have a aprox 12 min DV avi ( 2.6GB )captured from my sony camcorder thru premiere. it plays just fine in any of my media players. no apparent problems. but for some reason i can't do anything with it. i've scanned for errors and come up with number from 24000 frames bad, to as little as 1400 or even just 8 frames. i have not the slightest why it's not consistant. i just want to resize it and deinterlace so i can run it thru CCE.

i'm scaning for errors, and then i go to direct stream copy, save as avi. yada yada yada.

VirtualDub 1.4.11 and 1.4.10 both give me this error:
Could not map shared memory into local space.

    P4 2.4bghz
    40 GB (15GBfree)
    512 pc 2700 DDR
    winxpsp1
is my camcorder source that full of errors? why is that i'm still able to watch it? i've even recaptured the same clip 4 or 5 times. this isn't something i can reshoot.

  2. the same avi i've found a work around for this, if i just go to save it and add it to the job control list i can run it right away. the avi shows no errors when rescanned.
however, it still crashes every program i run it thru. any suggestions on why this may be? what i can do to fix it?
