  1. Hello
I have a question because I'm a newbie to this so I just want to make sure this is that way things work. My main question is this: when I convert an AVI file to MPG using TMPGEnc it takes me 2hrs to convert a 2hr movie. Is this right or should it be faster? I thought a faster PC would take less time but thats not the case it seems. I had an Athlon XP1800 and now I have a P4 2.4ghz and it seems to take just as long to convert the files. Am I nuts to think thats slow? I really don't know. Also is it possible to make XSVCD from an AVI file? If so what software do I use?
    Thank you

  2. 2 hours to convert a 2 hour movie is pretty quick - many can only dream of that speed (some wait 24-36 hours to encode a 2 hour movie). I've got AMD Athlon 1900+ and it takes about the same for me. Yes, it is possible to make a XSVCD from AVI - use the same TMPGEnc.
