  1. I am trying to create my first vcd from scratch. I used dazzle to capture video from a vcr and saved it as a mpeg. I then tried using ezcd's vcd creator program as well as nero to burn with. Both made vcd's that my computer dvd player can play no problem but my stand-alone dvd player tries to read the cd and gives me an error (RCA rc5225p) telling me that the vcd is incompatible. I have 2 vcd's that I did a cd copy on that work in the RCA no problem.
I also used MpegProperties to look at the mpeg and it says it's vcd. What am I doing wrong? HELP!!!!!

Are you sure your standalone can play VCD/CD-R? RCA's have not been known for flexibility.

  3. When I tried again last night it didn't play the CD-R on the first try. I had to re-insert it twice. So I grabbed the cd-r that I mad and on the fourth try it started playing. These cd-rs are green. Do you think that a different color would play more easily?
