I am able to play my incomplete .dat files (from ongoing downloads) using Avipreview.
My question is.....I have over 100 incomplete, ongoing downloads and each one is given a .dat ID# in the folder.(this of course changes to the name of the movie upon completion).
Rather than go through all the .dat's to find the one I want to test,is there a way to view the actual movie name (before its completely downloaded)?

I don't know of any way to do what you want, but I have a suggestion:
Simply go to the download/traffic window of your Kazaa client (I assume that this is what you are using) and find the file you want to preview. Note the amount of the movie already downloaded by the client, then go to your download directory and fine the dat file that matches up in size. This is the only way I can think to do this.
Hope this helps,
