  4. i kinda had the probelms ur seeing,pls dont bomb me....

    ifoedit gets kinda tricky,
    1st------which version u using? i use 088 now...
    media probably isnt the problem...

    2nd---are you using spidy menu??
    i gave up on menus,since i hate coasters,sometimes
    ur video_ts.ifo's get messed up there,use ifoedit to create
    new video_ts.ifo/vts_01_0.ifo and menu problems go away...

    3rd-- you processed all ifo right?....here's kicker,dont forget
    to save vts sector thing,just in case

    Just so u know, i ripped spiderman last week, with no menu's
    no subs, no commentaries,no 2nd lang's, and it plays in
    3 dvd players i have with no jittering afore mentioned,hope
    this helps...(*:::::

  6. Few things I noticed. (and been mentioned quite a few times).
    1) The DVD player vs media compatibility will cause it to play or not to play. It rarely effects those pause for a moment problem. (with exception of computer DVD which seems way more tolerable for some unknown reasons). In fact some of cheapest DVD players are the most compatible as they flat out use those computer dvd drives in their housing.
    2) Media plays very important role. Out of 10+ brands of -r/-rw media about 30% of them (usually the cheaper one) doesn't work well in my DVD as well as few friends. (I am sticking to merit line general brand or optodisc or samsung for now until i find further incompatibility issue with other players). Avoid princo, GQ like plague. They do stutter as you mentioned. Verbatim 2x is great but at $3 a pop... it does get expensive.
    3) I myself burnt above mentioned dvd with no problem using ifoedit and nero. And it plays just fine with no stutter. One was meritline and the other was samsung. (Had to split it) Must have watched at least 3 times already with constant instream of neighborhood kid and guests.
    My recommendation, go out and grab few decent media and see where problem really lies. It isn't IFO edit for sure.
