If you're talking about joining 2 avi files, Adobe Premiere (and maybe Adobe After Effects) can do it.

  6. I've done this (and other subbing) with Virtual Dub. There are probably lots of different ways to do this but...

    1) D/load the SubStation Alpha (aka subtitler) filter for vitrual dub (http://www.virtualdub.org/virtualdub_filters)
    2) D/load Substation Alpha (http://www.eswat.demon.co.uk/substation.html)
    3) Convert DivX script to SSA script
    4) Run Vdub and load your DivX movie, load the ssa filter and choose you movie.
    5) Save as new avi/DivX/frameserve/etc. etc.
