  1. Hi all, I posted before about getting steady tracking on duplicated tapes, but I think the problem is that I want to view NTSC tapes on my PAL PVR 250 card.

I have a PAL card like I said, and my VCR plays back NTSC tapes fine on my TV. However when put through the PVR 250 card, the tracking of the video is terrible. I have now put this down perhaps to the fact that my VCR isn't outputting true NTSC, and instead is just PAL60.

However, I have read other people having problems with this, but they have always said that their picture is just black and white. My picture is clearly colour, but it just isn't steady (neither is the sound until I alter the tracking until the picture is so unsteady that it's just fuzzy lines).

My question is, it is the case that I cannot playback NTSC tapes on my PVR 250 unless I have either a VCR that plays back true NTSC signal, or get a VCR from the states? Maybe it is my PAL card that needs changing to an NTSC card? I do not know.

If anyone has any answers for me I'll be very thankful.

    Thank you for your time.

  3. Is that really the only way? I can't really afford to be spending more money to get these damned videos onto CD. It's only these particular ones, shop bought tapes and recorded tapes that I already own are fine...
