  1. I got my Sony DVD burner DRU-500A, and all kinds of software:
DVDit PE, SpruceUP, Nero, MyDVD etc etc.

What I want to acchieve is:

Putting one or preferably two or more Xvid or DivX movies
converted anyway you like on to a DVD media that will play
    on my stand-alone DVD player.

    How do I do this???

I've tried with movies converted to SVCD and VCD but with no
success. All the different programs I have wont let me even start
    burning the media.

    Please help

  2. Try to use CVD (352 * 480). It worked for me and DVD authoring tool (Spruceup for me) easily accept the CVD format. You need to demux and change audio 48Khz for Spruceup. I can put two or three movies into one DVD-R.

  3. look to the left of the page and find the HOW TO section. You need to start with convert. Once you have your DVD ready mpegs, go to the authoring section to find out how to author a DVD-video and burn it to disk

    Hope this helps

    Just a few clarifications:

Do I use TMPGEnc to convert the DivX to CVD?
(by the way what exactly is CVD?)
