  1. Hello,

this really is a great site - but even after an extensive search I could not find my way to MOV2AVI.EXE

Can I download it here, or where else do I have to go for it?

    Thank you

  2. Check out the Software Section at Div-Digest:

    www.divx-digest.com/software/index.html

    Look in the "Conversion/Encoding" section.

You will find all sorts of converters, encoders and whatever else there.

    Enjoy!

Why dont you use QuickTime, after all its those people that make the .Mov files.

V5 is the latest and will load a MOVie and export an AVI

  4. Well, while QuickTime Pro does do a good job of exporting older non-encrypted MOV files to AVI, it costs money.

MOV2AVI and RAD Video Tools are FREE and work on pretty much any QuickTime MOV file... well, except for those darn Star Wars MOV files.

Of course you may have to go through a combination of MOV2AVI and RAD Video Tools to get something usable by TMPGEnc (or whatever else) but its FREE and does a pretty good job.

I personally try QuickTime Pro first then when that doesn't work, I go to MOV2AVI and RAD Video Tools for the brute force attack.

So you are saying that MOV2AVI will convert some protected MOV files but not others ?. Someone on here has a problem with audio clicking when he try's to record the sound from a protected movie.

    Is'nt QTP free then
