  1. Please can anybody tell me how to make a A Mini DVD that i have seen mentioned, What program do i use to make them and what can i burn them with ???

  2. a Mini DVD can be made with any of the DVD authoring programmes. It is simply a DVD file structure burnt on to a CDR. So it must be short (less than 20 mins, maybe shorter) and very few standalone players can play them. They can be played on PC's with a soft dvd player though.

  3. Thanks for this ! so Shoukld i be able to capture a short film as DVD file on my Capture card and just burn using the standard software it came bundled with in theory ?

  4. The normal reccomendation is to capture using a lossless or low loss codec (huffy or mjpeg for instance) at a high-ish resolution and convert to DVD compatible mpeg-2 using TmpGenc or CCE. Then use this mpeg file as the source for your mini-dvd.

  5. Huffy ???? Mjpeg ???? where can i obtain these and where do i install etc is there a page on these i can read ?

    Seem there is a bit more to it than i had thought !!!!!

    There always is with this stuff!

    look to left column of this page and the howto's. I would start with the capturing guides if I were you. Then the convert guides would be useful and finally you should find some usrful info in the Authoring guides. Any questions, try searching the forums, its surprising how much info is in these pages. Still stuck? Then by all means come back and ask for help. Ask specific questions and provide as much detail about your problems as you can. That way you are more likley to get the answer you need.
