I recorded a streamed video from http://www.cnn.com with both ASFRecorder 1.1 and StreamboxVCR3.1 (to see if anyone worked better) and after I run the clips thru ASFTools repair feature, and try to load them in VirtualDub, VirtualDub crashes! I find this strange cause asftools nearly always fixed my recorded .asf streams and successfully loaded them in VirtualDub.
On one occaission I did get VD to load the cnn clip, but when I hit play in VD, it did not play, just stayed there on a blank first frame.

Help!

Maybe you could try it as see if it works. Get StreamboxVCR here and URLSnooper (to find the mms:// server address of the stream) also:

Then just record whatever top story video is available on http://www.cnn.com and see if it loads in VD after the ASFTools repair. Thanx.
