    Do you need a specific kind of capture card - or certain cables or anything? I did not see anything targeted specifically to vhs in the tutorials section.

    I think all capture card with composite connection will do and also all cable. But if you VHS have S-vhs connector and you wish to use that one then you have to look for one with that kind of connection. I use AIW 8500DV which comes all with RF, composite, s-video, firewire.
