www.tigerdirect.com has the HP DVD100i DVD+RW Drive for $179.99.
It may not be the best, but for the price, it may be worth looking into.

Why buy the 100i at $179, when for $20 or so more you can get a Memorex branded unit that will write to +R as well as +RW? In fact, why not spend the extra money and get the Sony DRU500a that will write to +R/RW and also to -R/RW for about $350?

well the price on the hp dose look good but you will have to buy the expensive dvd+rw disks. the sony is prob the best way to go if you are able to add the extra dough. if not i would look into a burner that burns dvd-r/w. because the dvd-r is the cheapest media. you can get for like 60 or 70 cents each if you buy in bulk. instead of 3 to 4 bucks a pop for dvd+rw...

Seriously now. This dvd+rw is only for stupid people who dont go to this website or know what is going on.

This drive is a relic,I'm going to wait a few months because several companies will be making 4x multi-format DVD writers causing the prices to drop.
