    In regards to DVD authoring, what is the difference between the two (is it supported import/export formats)?

    I could be wrong but I think if you're just considering DVD authoring and burning, DVD Workshop would be better. MediaStudio has just a plug in of their MovieFactory for authoring and burning and I don't think that's as good as the Workshop.
