  2. Swaering and shouting may make you feel better but it certainly wont fix your mpegs!

    Need more info.

What is your source, type, resolution, audio settings (if its an avi, open it in vdub, go to file->file information and list what it says)

What is your encoding process, templates, settings etc

with this someone may be able to help.

  3. Try checking th eaudio volume settings in the contol panel. Go to settings down in the lower right. Pick the Audio Tab, click on settings, change audio to 400%. (As high as it will go) Try burning and see what happens.

    and the source material is???????

Start Tmpgenc, cancel the Wizard. Select your avi(?) as the video source and as the audio source. Click load and select one of the VCD templates depending on the frame rate of your source (NTSC=29.97, NTSCfilm=23.97, PAL=25). Encode. Let it encode a few minutes of your film and hit abort. Play the resulting output in WMP. Is there any audio. If not, you could try what paintmodel suggested. If that doesn't work, extract the audio from the avi with virtualdub and convert to PCM. (if you don't know how to do this look in the guides under convert). Use this as the audio source and try again.
