  1. I've tried to search the forum, but for some reason it don't work. What is the best DV codec for capturing video from a miniDV-cam in Premiere? I have seen some posts that mentioned Mainconcept DV codec, but what about Canopus and Microsoft? What I want is the best quality, but I do not want to save the video totally uncompressed.

  2. canopus only comes with something else bundled together. I forget what the name is though. Main Concept looks good.....except I get lots of drops. You may have better luck on your machine.

If you have the latest DX version, you should be fine. It contains the MS codec for DV. That should at least get you started.
Hope is the trap the world sets for you every night when you go to sleep and the only reason you have to get up in the morning is the hope that this day, things will get better... But they never do, do they?
