  1. I have been using TMPGEnc for a while, but had a hard disk crash and can't get it back working. I have loaded the new NIMO 5.0 Code Package, but TMPGEnc won't work. I get errors or it just aborts and turns its self off. My system is a 2 gig P4 with 512 mem running windows 2000. My question is there a trouble shooting TMPGNce how to out there? I think its something to do with the codecs, but I can't seem to get it right. Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks

Have you tried reinstalling TMPGEnc and the Nimo codec? Since you think it might be the codec, have you tried another codec, like HuffyUV? Please try to give us more details on "I get errors or it just aborts and turns its self off", is it when you start the program, when you are setting parameters, in the middle of the encode, or what.

Unfortunately I don't know of any actual troubleshooting guide. Usually people just search these forums, and if they can't find the exact problem already referenced, or a similar problem, then they make their own post, like you did.
