  1. Okay here is the story:

Just got Superman 2 DVD (region 1) widescreen. Want to back it up, can't due to DVD drive not recognizing DVD. Tried EAZYVCD v1.12, Smartripper v2.41, DVD Genie v4.1, Power DVD XP, My Computer -> explore DVD drive, all with the same result: no DVD in drive. I thought that something may be wrong so tried other DVDs and they are all recognized, save this one. I have never heard of this problem before. I made sure the darn thing worked in my stand alone DVD player and it plays. I even cleaned the disc and that doesn't have any effect either. I have a region 1 DVD-Rom so I am baffled as to why this is occuring. If anyone knows a fix or workaround for this it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

  3. I have the same problem, I have a Aopen DVD player, I've seen this problem on a few sights I think the only answer is that I might have to buy a high end reader, could persons who have played this on their DVD player let us know what brand they have.

    Thanks.

  4. Well the only solution for this was using a different dvd-rom. That sucks though because not everyone has access to another DVD-rom. Well anyway that's how I solved the problem.

  6. hey check to see if your OS has the most recent updates, i know that 2k and xp both have had issues with certain dvd playback, and there have been microsoft updates to solve a list of these problem dvds, no clue but it could help out and not require you to get another reader
