  1. I have been burning with pioneer dvr-104 and have had great success with dvd burning until now...i use memorex dvd-r/rw's and have a weird problem. I always burn to a dvd rw first then i check and see if everything is smooth and if it is i then burn to dvd-r (so i don't waste dvd'rs) anyway the dvd-rw of this particular movie plays fine in my pioneer dvd player but when i burned the same files to dvd-r it becomes blocky and jumpy after like 83 min, it seems my player is having trouble reading it...I did try it in my cpu and it worked fine. just not my player. what could this be? should i try and burn it again onto dvd-r? thanks in advance.

Sounds like a media problem. I would try a different brand or batch of media.

DVD-R's are relativly new and media quality control has been a major problem.

Just be glad your not paying 2x the $$ for DVD+R disks 8)
