  1. I've ripped several dvds using Smart Ripper (ver 2.4). The Vobs were ripped to my hard drive using stream encoding to remove unwanted audio and subtitles. File size for the resulting VOBs was set at 690Mb so I could store them on CDrs until I got my DVD burner.

I've now got the burner and I've tried to create an ifo file for the vobs using ifoedit but each time I do I get the same error message " VoB File is Invalid.....It doesn't start with Nav-pack."
A little experiementation would seem to indicate the problem is probably because I stripped the unwanted audio and subitles from the DVD.

Re ripping the DVDs is unfortunately not an option, but I'd really love to be able to use the VOB files I do have to make DVDrs of them....can anyone offer any suggestions how I can do this?
One last bit of info....The vobs do play perfectly in powerdvd.

  2. Problem partly solved. I've found I can rename the file extension of the Vob files to Mpg. This allows me to open the files in the MPEG Tools section of TMPGE where I can De-Multiplex out the M2v and Ac3 streams. Now I can join the m2v files together easily enough to create a single video stream but I don't know of any software that I can use to join together the Ac3 files into a single AC3 audio stream. Any ideas?
    Thanks
