  1. I can rip DVDs, but the question is , is there anything out there that will split sound ?

What i want is to capture the voices (human sound)on a dvd , but get rid of the background music so i can multiplex and add my own sound ?

I dont know which software will do it, or if it is possible.

I am assuming that the sound on a dvd is multi channel, so i should be able to split it ??ß

    any answers welcomed.

    thanks in advance.

  2. If you can rip the Ac3 soundtrack from a DVD you end up with a 5.1 channel sound. I think you could convert individual channels to wav format with Headac3he. Can't say I have ever tried it though.

  4. In headac3he, click the options button and a new panel should appear. Under input channels, just select the cahannels you want in the output wav file, Left, Center, Right etc. Give the output file a name (eg movie_left.wav) and click start.
