Nullsoft has made a video format that can only be played in Nullsoft's Winamp Media Player 3, but it is slow and the audio is choppy. The file format for Nullsoft Streaming Video is *.nsv.
NSV's website, http://www.nullsoft.com/nsv/, gives links to www.vp3.com, which has a codec for both Quicktime and Windows Media Player. I figured that if I installed these codecs and opened the *.nsv file with WMP, it'd work. Well, it didn't, even when I renamed it to a *.avi and reinstalled the codecs/restarted.
Now some of you out there may find what I did to be really retarded and the answer is sitting smack dab in front of me, but I sure don't see it. Anyways, my main goal is the get rid of that horrible *.nsv extension and convert it to a MPEG or an AVI or something that I can watch with any media player.
