  1. I just got Spiderman and after i rip it i try and play it with Power DVD and i get no sound... is this from the rip or is this the PowerDVD Player?

  2. did u rip just the movie or the whole dvd.?

    make sure if u just ripped the movie u got the necessary audio streams

    I think its just a player issue as WinDVD does the same thing. If you extract the audio streams (with something like dvd2avi etc) they are there and they play fine. I think if you strip with IFOedit and build new .ifo files it should playback fine on your computer.

    If you just ripped the movie VOBs then try skipping to the 2nd VOB.
    I have had this problem several times. The sound is sometimes missing in the first VOB but remaining VOBs are fine.
    If this is the case let me know and I'll give the solution that I came up with. pressed 4 time at the moment

    AC5.1 is not standard for standard Power DVD. It's an upgrade. If you ripped it to Harddrive, you probably have just the (English) AC5.1 stream. I rolled back to an older version that supports 5.1 instead of the new version that I had to buy an upgrade for. Try a different player (like Media Player classic, no installed involved).
