a hack available for disabling macrovision ?

How are you going to record Progressive Video from DVD ?
The 480P output is only available in component Video ( 3 RCA connector ).
Do DVD recorder like panasonic takes progressive video ? -
At this point, I wasn't planning to record in progressive scan..
I want to be able to record occasionally in VHS format..
but view DVDs that I rent in progressive scan on my Samsung 42" progressive scan TV (HD capable monitor).
But later, yes.. if progressive scan recording becomes cheaper.. I presume I can do it in a D-VHS recorder today as it can record HDTV.. I will want to use that option - after a year hopefully.. when D-VHS recorders drop below $400! -
The lists are ALL WRONG! I checked me Pioneer out.It says no hacks, and priced at $80? You click on the more info, and lowest price is about $300.It should be about $250.Also I know there were hacks posted a couple of months ago.
