  1. Hi! there is a new VCD format (i don't know if this is only in ASIA) called AVCD (short for Audio Video Compact Disc). This kind of disc can be played in both regular CD players and VCD players. It contains both video and audio tracks.

When you play the CD on a regular CD player, only plays the audio tracks. When you play it on VCD players, it would play the videos first then the audio tracks. This is some kind of mixed mode CD. the physical disc contains a format unplayable data on track 1. videeos are always on the track after the format data followed by the audio tracks and cannot be interchanged.

Some example products of this type of CD are the ones particularly released in ASIA like Kylie Minogue's "FEVER" repackaged album with AVCD, Blue's "ALL RISE" special Asian Edition, and more.

    QUESTIONS:
    1. How to make an AVCD format disc?
    2. What software should i use? (I am currently using NERO.)
    3. Can somebody help me please?

  3. BTW, there is no new format called "AVCD"... VCD2.0 has always had the ability to put CD-DA tracks after the video tracks in the specifications.

Obviously, by giving this a new name "AVCD", the hype merchants hope to entice people into buying their product. They were right...

  6. Nero can't make CD-DA tracks in VCDs.

You will have to follow the link provided before or use VCD Toolkit.
