Hello, I've just downloaded the latest drivers from ATI for my All in Wonder Radeon card. I followed all installation instructions and all loaded OK. HOwever, when I activate the ATI control panel, it still indicates version 7.1 for Video CD, the TV control says 7.5. When I look at the properties of the Display package, it indicates 7.7xxx.

The question is, do I really have an updated version of the ATI control panel.

It's been 10 months since I've used any of my video gear. Thanks for you help.

Since no one provided any help to my question, I had to do a lot of diging. One chap did respond to a personal note that sent me on the right path.

The answer, if any one is interested, is that all I got from the ATI web site was the latest drivers. My system was still at a down level MMC control panel. The web page at ATI takes you to for the "Latest Drivers" does not provide MMC 7.7. You have to look at "OLD" drivers where you can find MMC 7.7. Once I downloaded that and removed all older versions of the Control Panel, I installed the new one and everything seems to work.

Now to get back to some real Captures. Thanks to those that helped.

  4. I once asked ATI support about this. They basically said oh don't worry about that, you have the right one. I thought this was a lousy attitude. Why wouldn't they fix such a simple thing?

Salutations. My second append is correct. Again, the problem is that ATI seems to have separated the new drivers web page from the latest version of MMC. When I was "Directed" to their correct drivers page, I picked up the new display driver and the new WDM driver, but there was no update for MMC. This is because the update to MMC 7.7 was done sometime earlier and is on a differnt page. You have to go to the "Previous Verson" page to find MMC 7.7. This is just the control panel, which is what I needed, but I also need the latest drivers. You would think they would put them all in one package.

    How you get your fixed.

MMC and the DVD player are listed under optional software at the bottom of the driver page, not in previous driver versions. Is it really that confusing?....
    Warning! I'm baaaaaaaaack
