  1. Hi there!
Can anyone tell me a method to stop dvdit transcoding the audio when I burn a dvd, it has the option of converting to pcm or dolby, the audio seems fine after I have used TMPGEnc to encode it so why does it go through this process of converting it again which by the way usually takes about 30 to 40 minutes, which is a big pain in the butt!
any help would be much appreciated

Sorry but you can't stop it doing this. Dvdit only supports PCM or DD 2.0 audio and not mp2 audio that you will find in the mpeg produced by TmpGenc. The only option is to use TmpGenc to produce a video only mpeg (.m2v file extension) and produce your own PCM or maybe even DD 2.0 audio. How you go about this depends on your source.

Of course you could always switch to an authoring package that supports mp2 audio such as Ulead DVD WS or Dazzle DVD complete. This is assuming your DVD player supports mp2. Those sold in the American market are not required to do so though many do.
