    does anyone know how to convert mpeg files to avi
    vitural dub takes up to much room
    1.04g for 5 minutes of converting

    Five minutes? Oh man, you can grow old just thinking about how much time you waste. Anyway, load TMPGEnc, select File-->New Project. Load your MPEG file, select Output to File-->AVI file, select your codec and your new file name -- voilá!
