Hi all,
I have just started using a Digital8 camera linked to my computer via firewire. My idea is to edit my movies using Premiere 6.5, and to record them on SVCDs for distribution.
Problem is, at the first test I made, using all default configuration from the SVCD template in Adobe MPEG Encoder, image was horizontally stretched (making everybody look fat) when played on a Pioneer DVD player (535). It looks okay on a CCE player (brazilian version of a Lasonic model). Funny thing is that the Pioneer plays okay other SVCDs, previously created from other sources using TMPGEnc.
The mpeg2 file generated by the Adobe MPEG Encoder at Premiere is indeed (seem at the PC) 480x480, as it is supposed to be for NTSC. Source is DV 720x480 NTSC. All configuration in Premiere is for DV 720x480 NTSC.
Does anybody have a hint of what might be happening, and how to correct it? There are lots of parameters for the Adobe MPEG encoder, and no documentation on them.
Thanks for your help,
Pedro
