DVD2SVCD made a beautiful 2-disk copy of Insomnia last week for me. No artifacts or blockiness *at all* in the movie! Give DVD2SVCD a try with Insomnia and post your results here... :P

  6. Timolean - Did you allow DVD2SVCD to do the audio internally or did you deal with it yourself?? I found that the AC3 stream is corrupt when allowing dvd2svcd to deal with it. Also what size have u guys been resizing this movie too? I did a 480 x 480. I have tried all manner of conversions (about 15 cds used!) in trying to get a copy that plays smoothly without juddering on my Eclipse 695. 1 copy was perfect and I'm sure it was the one where I allowed dvd2svcd to automate the muxing. All others seem to have stuttering playback irrespective of whether I leave the original framerate at 23.976 or change it to 25.......Still searching for a solution

    Hi Bilbogod ---

Sorry to be late getting back to you! I let DVD2SVCD handle the audio internally --- but make sure you are using the latest version of the program; I believe another update came out yesterday.

I just burned a two-disk set of the animated film, Titan AE, with the latest DVD2SVCD, and the results were **indistinguishable** from the original DVD, which I have. I literally can not tell the difference playing the disks on my cheap Apex 1100W and 27" Zenith stereo TV. The author of DVD2SVCD must be some kind of genius!! :P

As an aside --- when I picked up the original DVD of Titan AE, I read the blurb on the front which said something like "...this is what Star Wars should have been...", and I thought, Wow, a nice science fiction adventure flick. I didn't realize until I put the thing in my DVD player that it was animated!!! I then thought I would hate the thing (after all, my tenth birthday is a very dim memory), but the animation and sound were fantastic!! I really enjoyed watching the movie!
