  1. I am trying to copy Amelie on to a DVD-R
    After riipping the dvd with dvd decryptor, the main movie is too big to fit on the dvd so I have to reencode it
    I used d2vavi and tmpgenc (the latest version: 2.58 plus I think)

    d2vavi generated the d2v files I used for tmpgenc.
    I started tmpgenc and after 3 hours, the audio is out of sync and not only for a second but more than that

    So I do not know who is faulty? tmpgenc, ifoedit when remuxing ?
    I have used this method with the movie the time machine and there is no problem.

    anybody has a brilliant idea to solve this problem

    Ive had this happen with STTNG episodes. The first vob was actually part of the menu with no soundtrack, when I encoded the sound was way out of sync. I solved this by not including the first vob file when I applied dvd2avi.

  3. Did you uncheck all the PGC's in DVD decrypter? That was my problem.
    Just go to View IFO and DVD decrypter will automatically highlight the main movie PGC. (make sure every one is unchecked for every chapter except the main movie) you'll see what i mean when you do it. That should fix your problem it did for me.
    let me know,

  4. I have a question related to this.
    I have a dvd that the audio gets out of synch somewhere past the middle of the movie. If I rip the dvd to make a back up will I be able to fix this out of synch problem?

  5. Is the source PAL or NTSC?

    I had this problem a few times when encoding PAL movies, which I just assumed would be interlaced. They were progressive, check dvd2avi, that will tell you when you pess F5.

    Of course I re encoded with Tmpgenc as an interlaced movie and it went right out of sync. Did it as progressive and had no probs.
