try copy the windows 98 cd to your old disk, then run it from there on your old pc. you can use a floopy boot disk to start your machine, or put the boot files of the disk on your old disk.
i have a problem let me know

  3. Sounds familiar. IMHO, it is Your ME boot disk, what causes Your problems. And if I'm right, the only thing to do is to get boot disk of either 95 OSR2 (with FAT-32 support!), 98 or 98SE with MSCDEX ofc.

I downloaded Windows 98SE Boot Disk from somewhere. I do have it on floppy too, but one of my computer's doesn't have a floppy drive and I was going to make a boot disk on cd.

I'll try and see if I can find the URL where I downloaded the book disk from. I use refdesk.com for searches on the internet. That's probably where I got it from.

Thanks for reminding me I need to make that 98SE boot disk on cd, 'cause I forgot I had it and I need to reformat my hard drive. It's soooo full it acts like my Grandmother on drugs.
