  1. i'm gonna replace my current capture card and am in the market to purchase new. i need a card that will work with premiere, dont want any conflicts cause i love premiere 6.5. i will be capturing from vcr 99% of the time and would like to get it captured in a format that i wont have to convert over for premiere to import. it would also be nice to have vcr output, even though 99% of the time it will be vcd, svcd, or dvd output. looking for a pci card only, dont want to replace my nvidia geforce3 right now. also a card that doesnt cost a fortune and cause a bunch of conflicts would be great. ati, pinnacle and dazzle all have me kind of leary, heard and read to many bad things on adobes site. thanks for any advice

Today I ordered ADS Pyro ProDVD $109.95 from www.videoguys.com, comes with an outstanding software bundle. This is to compliment the Canopus ADVC 100 BJ_M refered to. I'm new to capturing, but am hopeful; I have made a wise choice. Time will tell!

http://www.videoguys.com/canopus.htm $299 (you can find it a little cheaper (270$) but these people will give you support and help and if you have problems)

you will need a firewire card (PYRO Digital Video 1394DV)

    http://www.videoguys.com/pyro.htm#pyro $69.00 is the right price ..

or the Pyro ProDVD $109 ..

    use good cables -- !!
