Hi all - a newbie question as ever - I've had a look around this superb site for the answer; if I've missed it and it's here somewhere I'm sorry to be asking again.
I'd like to transfer some old vhs tapes to dvd-r, but a fair few suffer from dropouts mainly due, I think, to their age. Is there a piece of software around that will clean up a video picture in the way that, say, Wavelab's plugins reduce noise on audio files?

    Many thanks for any help,

    JeffC.
